1. Information we collect.
BizTaxMetrics is a static, calculator-first site. We do not require an account to use the calculator, and we do not collect personally identifiable information by default. The site may automatically log standard, non-identifying technical data — IP address (truncated), user agent, referrer, and the page path — for security and traffic analysis through privacy-respecting analytics.
2. Cookies and similar technologies.
We use only first-party cookies required for the site to function (e.g., remembering a previous slider setting during the same session). We do not run third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies. Google AdSense, if enabled on this site in the future, would be disclosed here before activation and would honor the user-consent signal required by Google's program policies.
3. How we use information.
We use the limited technical data we collect to (a) detect and prevent abuse, (b) measure aggregate usage so we can prioritize which calculators and which states to build next, and (c) diagnose production issues. We do not sell, rent, lease, or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Your rights.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EEA, UK, California, Virginia, and Colorado), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Because we collect essentially no personal data, the typical outcome of such a request is a confirmation that we hold nothing attributable to you. 5. Children's information.
This site is intended for adult business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Data security.
The site is served over HTTPS only. The application is statically generated, so there is no application server storing user input. Any contact-form submissions are routed to a third-party processor with their own security posture; their privacy policy applies to data they hold.
7. Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
